Shawn Wayt, MAI

Shawn joined Washington Capital’s Seattle office as VP, Real Estate in September 2024 and is responsible for real estate appraisal activities for both equity and debt assets. Shawn began his career in the commercial real estate industry in 2008 and has since held positions in both commercial appraisal and investment brokerage. Before joining WaCap, Shawn was Managing Director for BBG, Inc., and opened their Seattle office in 2019 where he was engaged in business development, client outreach, recruiting, and completing commercial appraisal assignments both independently and in collaboration with other appraisers on a national scale. Prior to this, Shawn held senior-level appraiser positions at several local and national appraisal firms, in addition to a role as Senior Financial Analyst at Capital Pacific (now Northmarq), where he regionally managed a team of analysts involved in investment sales transactions. Shawn is a graduate of Gonzaga University and received his Bachelor of Business Administration in 2008 with concentrations in Finance and Marketing. He is a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser in the State of Washington and received his MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute in 2015 and is active in the Seattle Chapter of the Appraisal Institute.
