Mike participates in WaCap’s investment process primarily in the areas of macro economic strategy and stock selection. Mike has been with the company since 1983. His leadership in both portfolio management and as a manager of talent has led the firm to new heights.
He has managed money for a wide variety of accounts including individuals, retirement plans, foundations, corporations, and other pools of assets. Having spent 12 years with Rainier Bank, he gained experience in analyzing and managing assets in all markets. Mike has specialized in mid and large capitalization stocks and has led the company in its approach to managing risk.
Mike graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in Finance and in 1978 earned the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. He has taught at both the University of Washington and the University of Puget Sound. He is a member of the CFA Society of Seattle.
